Every year before the youth open waterfowl seasons starts, this event is held in Fremont County Iowa at the Riverton Wildlife Management Area. It is hosted by Rick Rivers, and Iowa DNR Officers. This event holds a special place for Rick, as it is a way to help honor his son Thaddeus who passed away in 2010. Thaddeus was a hunter with a passion for waterfowl hunting with his dog Gunner. He also volunteered for many years on the Youth Hunt in Southwest Iowa.
