Throughout the time of the event, the youth are taught many valuable lessons. DNR officers give them a brief education on the laws pertaining to waterfowl hunting. They are shown the different types of waterfowl. They even get to hear several duck calls by very talented duck callers in SW IA. Each youth is given the opportunity to test out their skills while being supervised with shooting clay discs.
